Nick started as a Jewelers Apprentice at Age 15

Working part-time after school for 5 years. At the insistence of Nick’s parents, Nick entered Hofstra University and Graduated in 1989 with a BBA in Accounting. Nick worked as an accountant for 3 short years and by 1992 Contempo Jewelers was born. For the next years, his journey and legacy will continue.

Rude owner claiming 30 years in the business trying to sell me fake diamonds.Made them use their own diamond tester on the jewelry they were selling me and it was not testing out diamonds but gems with their own tester !!! Later claiming that the diamond tester is broken !! Took it to the 3 different jewelers and 3 different diamond testers all came out the same fake diamonds . Would not recommend .STAY AWAY IF YOUR LOOKING FOR THE REAL DEAL.

Looking For an engagement ring, not the first place we went to, but it was the last, and the place, where we purchased the engagement ring and two wedding bands. I walked into Contempo Jewelers after two negative experiences at other places in an attempt to purchase wedding rings. The many positive online reviews led me to email the store about what I was looking for in bridal jewelry. Nick answered my email in a timely manner and I could immediately sense that he cared about my wishes. A few moments after walking into the store and being greeted by the genuine warm welcome from Liz and Mimi, I knew that Contempo was going to be my last stop! Nick and Liz worked to help us create a stunning, well-priced, bridal set. So glad that this gem of a store is so close to home! Wonderful service!!! I took my three month old to get her ears pierced and from the moment we walked in I felt completely comfortable. Claudia was awesome! She took her time with the initial markings to make sure they were precise. Then, once it was time for the piercing, both ears were done extremely quickly! I would highly recommend!

Initially my fiance and I went there to get my daughter's ears pierced. Everyone was so professional and pleasant, we then got my fiance's ring resized. Both experiences were so great, we then got our wedding bands there. Despite my particular taste and specific requirements, they customized the rings I wanted to perfection and left me speechless. I will always be grateful and recommend Contempo Jewelers to friends and family. The overall experience was outstanding and their service was phenomenal.

Excellent Service!!! Took my 3 month old to do her ear piercing for the first time, my pediatrician recommended. From the minute we walked in until we came out it was a great experience. They explained everything and showed choices of earings. Definitely will be back to buy my jewelry there.

I just had a very pleasant shopping experience at Contempo. I wanted to buy my daughter a gift. Claudia was extremely helpful. She showed my daughter numerous options, all well within our budget. While Claudia offered suggestions, she gave my daughter space to make her own decision regarding the pieces she wanted. I've been to other places where the staff has been pushy or opinionated. From the moment I walked in I felt right at home because everyone was just so genuinely friendly! I had my daughter’s ears pierced there last weekend and I must say that the service was exceptional! Mimi, who did the piercing, not only managed to calm my fears, but she also made my daughter as comfortable as possible. As an avid shopper, I’ve learned over the years that no matter how great a product is, it’s amazing how a friendly face coupled with a professional attitude can make a lasting impression to a customer. This store did just that and I definitely recommend it!
